area in Pashchim Champaran district in the Indian state
of Bihar. |

Chanpatia had a population of 22,029. Males constitute
52% of the population and females 48%. Chanpatia has an
average literacy rate of 49%, lower than the national
average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 58% and female
literacy of 39%. 19% of the population is under 6 years
of age.
Chanpatia
is located in West Champaran District of Bihar, is a charming
settlement which has great historical importance. Surrounded
by green pasture fields, the town is approximately 8 km
north of Bettiah - the district headquarters. Prominent
places near the town are Raxaul (34 km east), Lauria Nandangarh
(17 km west) and Sikta (14 km north). Nearest airport
is at Patna, 159 km south. Bettiah Railway Station is
the nearest major railhead.
